What are these holes in trunk for? 67 Barracuda

Here are some pics. Its the best I could do with what I had to work with. Like I said, someone else had already cut the panel out so I was committed to do it this way. Panel is tucked behind the top seam with about an inch of overlap, welded on both sides. Center seam (trunk floor to valance) is plug welded from the inside. Ends were plug welded to quarters. Last pic shows the reverse lights fitted.

yeah it turned out ok. I like to go to factory seams when possible.
