When the engine/trans was out for rebuilds I had the engine bay painted. The bay was power washed which took off all my tags on wires. The Dart was gone so long I have no memory of these two wires. With the engine running the "eye" terminal connection is not hot while the spade connector is hot with 12V. Any idea what they are and where they go ? Washer pump is accounted for and battery is not charging. THX

Original harness, scraping only exposes universal grunge rather than specific color. I get shocked putting batteries in a flashlite so am not so good on the electrical.

Post up a pic of the wires. Im sure someone will be able to help figure it out.

That was first thought and first checked. One lead on regulator and it's occupied. THX

There are two wires that attatch to the regulator. Most likely the ones shown. One is a "plug" type and the other is "spade" which is connected by a slotted screw on the reg. If I see correctly in the pic, the plug wire going into the reg., looks to be for brake warning light. Hope this makes sence.

warwagons....YOU ROCK !

The spade connector that was on the reg split from a hot lead going to the washer pump. Switched those two and finally noticed the empty terminal on the top of the reg. which got the "eye". Battery is charging again.

THANK YOU !!!
