What are you listening to ?

I cracked a Danzig joke at work the other day, my coworkers didn't get it when I said "this song reeks of steroids" when 'Mother' started playing on the radio.

2 more I've been listening to a lot.

An excellent cover of a Simon & Garfunkle song, it does not disappoint.

And an excellent cover of a Christopher Cross song, again one would be hard pressed to be disappointed.

Disturbed nails it. A rare cover I like better than the original. Their rendition is so much more powerful, in the instrumentation AND the vocals. I don't just hear this one. I get chills whenever I listen to it.

Saw Joe Bonamassa live at the Sony Centre in Toronto last night. That guy can play a little.

Solo at the end of "No Good Place For The Lonely" was epic.

To follow one melancholy composition with another, this written in 1935 plays here once as an instrumental, then repeats with vocals. The melodic line takes unexpected turns so you really need to hear it again to get it, and the lyrics are just as unexpected. Not too many artists today could carry this tune or handle the sentiment. By the way the music is by Harold Arlen who wrote Over The Rainbow, so different...

Or if you like solo guitar...
