Cool, Jeff Lynne & Bev Bevan moved on to ELO.

For general information:
Ma Ma Bell
1. I'm convinced ELO ripped off Jerkin Crocus.

(Roy Wood started ELO but had left by then.)
Strings were his idea. He could play anything put in front of him.

2. I think the original Do Ya was better.
(With Roy Wood, of course.:) He also did the cover artwork for MFTC)

Humility goes a long way.
Songwriter Roy Wood says being given an honorary degree from the University of Derby is the greatest award he's ever received.

Some similarity on Ma Ma Ma Belle for sure.
Haven't heard 10538 Overture in years. A bit Beatlesque, perhaps?
Oh yeah, that version of Do Ya kicks ***.
I hope I look as good as Jeff when I am 70.

… I know what she want
A judo hold on a black mans bones
I know what you think
Ease over baby going to rock that thing… More

Yes, the Beatles.
Somewhere between Dear Prudence and Eleanor Rigby perhaps?
I've got the liner notes for Split Ends.
Maybe I can find it later.
It's on the net somewhere, I know.

The Heights, Volume LII, Number 18 — 13 March 1973 — Boston College Newspapers

Split Ends The Move UA0598 The Move have been around in a number of shapes and forms for some time now. They came out of Birmingham, England during the mid-sixties as a five-man band showing an obvious deep inspiration from the Beatles. Led by musician extraordinaire Roy Wood, the band has been through so many alterations you'd only be entirely perplexed if I attempted to explain all the problems and changes which they've experienced. If you're really interested, the liner notes to this LP tell the story pretty well. The 1973 Move presently exist solely as a studio group consisting of Wood, overdubbing on guitar, bass, vocals and a splendid assortment of other instruments. Also still with the band are Jeff Lynne on vocals and keyboards, and drummer Bey Bevan.
