What black Friday deals did you score?

-
So far I went and got my kid a set of Dodge Mirada factory mag wheels he's been wanting and telling me how few and far between they've been (of course he's been looking for that stuff, if he wasn't looking for them they'd be a dime a dozen). I was lurking on my wife's fake book marketplace and found a nice set for less than what he was saying, so I went over to Indiana about 45 miles from here and picked those up
they do look good on D150s

So- how far did you drive with a blown tire?
I needed tires after having an older sears tire blow on my tow rig.

Big O tires had a special on some LT235 /85 R 16. They also took an additional 50 dollars off for black Friday morning.

So that's my black Friday deal. I was really going to buy them anyway out of necessity but it was nice to get a slightly better deal.

Now to get to hauling cars. :realcrazy: Hopefully I'll get 10 years out of these. That's less than the sears tires got but next time I won't give them an opportunity to blow out that bad.

Not far at all, it happened right near the start of an exit lane, so just long enough to get off the highway and around a corner to a flat, empty piece of road

I was pulling a trailer with a car on it, and there was rubber chunks on the trailer and car

HF toolboxes are pretty nice.

Their new marketing pitch is "we eliminate the middle man".

Smart, considering 90% of the other offerings are also made in China.

I was right next to a stationary burnout when the punished tire decided to let go. It was fairly dramatic.

I'm glad you are safe.

Probably didn't help that it was 97 degrees that day.

It was actually in the beginning of October but I don't use the truck for anything but trailer and moving cars so I could wait for the holiday sales

Fastest way to blow a tire on a loaded trailer, is too little air pressure. Always check before leaving. I know that sounds so basic, but....
