A new iron curtain drawn across the 49th parallel
is this a 400 or 440? I thought 830 casting was for a 440, but it says 400 on the thing... looks like a 1974
Got a link to where? I can’t find it anywhere.. thanksIt's a 74 400, just like it should be. The number is listed in several places on the interwebs.
Making me remember, that's mean. I'll see if I can dig up the site.Got a link to where? I can’t find it anywhere.. thanks

Most sites say that up front, and ask for numbers you have that aren't on the list. I never found the link again I saw it on.Still a mystery why all the block casting number lists don't show it. Maybe it was one incomplete list, then everyone copied it.
Here's a link to a PDF file.why don't you post a link of the 30 sec search you did and found what it is for the rest of us.
Thanks
The site I saw it on originally looked like the other lists, just without the 3830830 casting number.I did see that one but I was looking more for auto, truck, industrial, if It were automotive you think it would be more in print.
thus ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Just look for the pad up by the distributor. A low deck won't have that

I think the 3830830-400 block casting is a rare Road Runner only block. Had to get the 4bbl motor thought.
