I'm interested in hearing what cams/carb combos you guys are running in your carbed magnum swaps.im 50/50 set on a hipotek hpt210xp.its same grind as krc210x cam.witch is very popular grind for factory powered magnum trucks, durango, dakota.it sounds really good.has lope.and is good with stock or iron ram heads
It's 210/220-512/512-110. 1200/1400-5200/5400.good with 2400-2800 stall.3.92 gears or higher.these are how specs are listed.

Oh and mine will be 570 street avenger at first then if it needs bigger carb I'll get one.and rpm airgap intake.1 5/8 hooker headers 2.5" exhaust with x or h pipe.and single chamber mufflers.

A 570 is too small for that combo. I ran a 670 on the street on my Magnum.

Also, its probably best to get a custom cam. As magnums only came in trucks, all the shelf cams out there seem to be truck oriented.Your car can use more cam that that in all probability.

You can check out the way I did my car at www.magnumswap.com

Ok what about a regrind?I'm not looking to spend alote of money on better heads.or exspensive parts.it was a clear decision untill now.so now I'm back to where i started.this was supost to be a post to hear what grinds people are running.

Does anyone have up to date Oregon grind chart?grind 1169.looks interesting to me.220/220 498 lift 110 lobe seperation.im looking to keep lift low.i will not buy aftermarket heads.and want to stay away from machine shop as much as possible.ill buy the springs I need..

I wouldn't worry about the carb it's fine.
When you get it up and running install a vacuum gauge if pulls too much vacuum on a full throttle run then worry about it.

I got 380hp create engine said to dyno over 400hp. Cam is like 288/296 and .510 ish lift at 108. Carb is a 800 edlebrock.

Car is a little lazy under 2000 rpm and the 2.96 gears doesn't help the situation. Have to drive in 2nd through town until about 40 mph.

That's almost exactly the cam I got from them and it was for mild sound at idle, mid throttle tq and decent mileage.
214/224 .512 110
This is Deja Vu from a few minutes ago on this thread.:D
Thinking about going 5.9

A copy of the Ford "E303 cam, not bad..... It will need more fuel, than a,Holley 570 ,can deliver. Seriously: Trailbeast's cam, would be a good choice.... Don't get crazy....

I had oregon regrind a stock cam for me, and i love it. You will need either adjustable rockers or purchase new pushrods as a regrind reduces the base circle of the cam.

But I have a stock bottom end 5.9 mag, .028 head gaskets, port and polished heads, 3 angle valve job, behive springs, sbc 1.5 rockers with girdles, 1.75" headers, m1 singe plane, and a 750hp holley. Car sounds great and moves quite well.

Cam Specs, are 242/248 @.050 .550/.550 lift on a 110 lsa,

That is with a 3.55 gear, 28" tall tire, 904 w/ 3500 stall, and around 3000lbs give or take.

What do you run with that?
It is very very similar
To the MP 360/380 create engine.
Stock Magnum pistons?

Yup stock pistons, never had the car on the dyno or made a clean pass at the track (suspension issues).only being able to go half throttle before pedaling it to keep it straight it went 13.02 at 108 i believe.

Thanks.
You could find the time for 12's with traction.

I have an Oregon #1357 in mine and love it! NA with a 770 (a 670 would probably be better), 727, 3500 stall and 4.30 gears, stock bottom end and off the shelf EQ 2.02 heads my car ran a best of a 7.60 in the 1/8th. That's low 12s, high 11s or something in the 1/4. I'm running the same combo now but boosted.

Are you certain those cam specs are correct? I've never heard of a regrind with that much duration before and can't imagine how it would be possible. usually regrinds tend to be in the 210-220 region from what I've seen.

It is possible. The base circle gets smaller, that's all.

I have a cam from hipotek, same specs you listed. Tried a .530 lift (Didnt clear the guide-retainer). I have a 750 proform, headers, 4.xx gears, and a small shot of nitrous.
