I am getting ready for the big spray to paint my car and I got the wheels stripped and ready for painting as well. My car is a 72 swinger that came with red circle dog dish hub caps on body color wheels which is Y1 top banana (at least this is how it was when I got it, correct??) It was built in Canada and is an "R" code for the plant code and has a build date of July/12/1972.
I remember loaning the spare wheel and tire out in the mid 90s and never got it back and I cant remember now if the spare wheel was black or if it should be body color as well.
any help on knowing what is correct will be appreciated. I am not doing a concourse resto or anything like that but I would like the car back as close as I can get it to how it was when it was new and still be practical about it.
