Let me get this straight . . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are
forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least
thirty million more people,
without adding
a single new doctor,
but provides for
16,000 new IRS agents,
written by a committee whose chairman
says he
doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,
and signed by a President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect
,
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is
obese,
and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What could
possibly go wrong
?'

Do you mean besides the rates skyrocketing higher than they already are????

Or by the insurance company pulling the plug on you, before you or your family are involved with the decision, because you are costing too much money to keep alive????

Hey, I just got a thought... Maybe if you buy an outrageous amount of life insurance, they won't pull the plug on you so fast, as it will cost them a million or two payout to your surviving family listed on the life insurance policy.

Hell, they (insurance companies) have more say in your treatment than your doctor as they are controlling the costs (but have no responsibility for the outcome). We might as well go to thier office instead of the doctor's office when we don't feel good, since they are treating us anyway and don't know anything about medicine except for the cost.

Let's just say that you have a $25, 000 life insurance policy. And you get in a real bad accident. And it costs more than that $25k life insurance policy PER DAY TO KEEP YOU ALIVE. Some young insurance guy (being new and trying to claw his way to the top) goes to his boss and says, "If we let him die, we save a bunch of money!!!"

So they pull the plug on you, and he gets a "bonus" for "thinking outside the box" (or really PUTTING YOU IN ONE - 6 feet under).

Besides that, not much really....
