Yeah mmmkay I could post some same 'ol beat to death 'new country' is old rock & roll
songs but hey here's one that's timeless .

Emmy Lou Harris & Trisha Yearwood. enjoy !!

there are a few of them old "goat roping music" songs I like listening to when driving about in the duster...mostly when I'm picking off imports

this is one of them

and of course this one, because you KNOW those darn kids cant tell the difference

I can't believe they dare call the crap they play today "Country".
I advise everyone that likes the older stuff to scan their AM dial. I did and I found that Merle and George are still getting plenty of air time.

Tom T Hall Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs The Hag Bobby Bare Mrs Miller Waylon Dolly Possum Jones just to name a few

Agreed.....A local short range station,an hour away from Santa Barbara..Plays nothing but old 40's and 50's honky tonk classic s... Wonderful stuff: 1410 out of Lompoc,California....

One thing that I have found, there is always good music. Finding it is the problem - before because of limited stations, now because there are some many bands (cost of music production has dropped substantially with software and other equipment)
These guys are pretty darn good - maybe a like on the rock side

What a great station - I enjoy the old honky tonk. Also western swing - Bob Wills is some good stuff

Despite being an alt rocker, I have always been a fan of John Cash. That Mt. Rushmore face, and the voice from the bottom of the volcano, plus his not so perfect life, always drew me in.
