So I am going for a nice drive today, and I check my factory fuel gage before I took off, and near three quarters of a tank..

I look at while driving, its at dead zero.

I get home and when I stop in my drive way (car not moving at all) it starts to climb back up to near three quarters.. so I go for another little drive and as soon as I start moving, my gage goes back down to empty..

I just checked behind the dash, all the wires are connected and snug..

any ideas??

thanks

shane

The gauge drops to zero when you start the engine....... or when you start moving?

If it's when you start the engine, it's definitely shorting out somewhere. As "mopar head" suggested, the gas tank is a good place to start looking.

When i start moving...then when I come to a complete stop it starts to work again...

I will have a look around the take for the ground...

thanks
