well u have to make sure that it says on/in what ever u attach it to...
my dad has been doing frieght his whole life and has lots of stories of bad packing added with rough handling worker= bad news...
are u sending it on a pallet or what?
might be worth making metal engine mounts to bolt it down the the pallet

I'm bolting it to a pallet w/ metal mounts wrapped in shrink wrap. I'm sending it to my buddy for free, all he pays is shipping. He just wants it for parts. If it dies in transit, it's not the end of the world.
