273 destined for a '64 Dart GT that currently has a /6 in it.

Engine number: B273-1-10 with 8132 in larger numbers below that.
Heads: 26568920 on both heads with 1046 on the drivers side and 1056 on the passenger's.

Questions:

When was it built?
Which car was it built for?
Where can I find OEM part numbers for engine components (i.e. distributor)?

I need this stuff to be able to figure out which engine parts to order and whether these heads are stock to 1964 or something else.

Thanks for your response.

The 920 heads are 66/67 numbers. There is know way knowing what the engine was built for. I'll look and see if the engine numbers make sense.

Hmmm,
Don't know,(not to be an azz)

Could You post pics of the L/H block bank casting #'s & Right side pan rail #'s

I realize this is 'subjective' as Ma Mopar always was in flux about #'s &
castings in the '273 era'---.

I appreciate the Grace Sir & Thx

The B273-1-10 would be a 1966 273 built on January 10th. The 920 heads are closed chamber heads with swirl ports. Real good heads for a 273.

Yes.... put some exhaust seats in them for modern unleaded fuel. The head vintage also means the intake is a later '66+ model and so check to see if the intake bolts into the head are 3/8" and not 5/16". If 3/8", then that is good as it matches all the later and aftermarket intakes. (The bolt size and angle was different for the very early 273 intakes.)

Thanks, Folks. I now have a better picture of what I'm dealing with. My friend Stuart sent me a few links to the tables I'd hope to find here (one of them is from here).

Bolt size is 5/16". How screwed am I? I just got off the phone with Edelbrock and the tech guy says "no bueno" for an intake. Same with Jeg's and Summit. Offenhauser wasn't sure what would work and I expect their prices are nasty. See my other thread for questions on modification details: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?p=1971014634#post1971014634

920 heads should have 3/8" bolts. Use a vintage Edelbrock LD4B intake.

Or, there was a factory 273 Commando 4bbl intake for sale in the parts forum, not long ago. It's iron, but it works.

I thought the 920 heads were late enough to have the 3/8" bolts. OP, did you double check thread size on the head... or just look up the bolt size for a '64 or '65? You need to check the actual bolt holes on the actual heads.
