What have I gotten myself into?

No sir! And I go through the scanner.

They can look but not touch.

No free feelies for fresh TSA creeps. :angry7:

(This is getting kinda tacky.)

I wonder if this intake would clear the hood, or if I would care if it stuck out.

I'd make it fit....you could always do what HemiMark did and cut out the hood. Thats a cool intake system ...whats the details ?

That's rad.
I always wonder about dirty air and parking in the rain with that kind of thing.

I showed the guy pictures of the Scamp in primer and he said in public while working world of wheels I quote "holy **** that's one bad as$ Plymouth" I said yeah imagine your intake on it. He sent me prototype pictures the day they revealed it at the Detroit autorama.

Just so you would be able to mount the inserts easier, or ot even needing them; how would the inner wheel wells look if when you bring them up, just continue going back to the firewall for a flat design look (almost stockish). Something like this:

Or even continue the front part with the inner fender line gradually back down to the stock location behind the headlights.

I thought about doing the back part and I'm kinda scared you almost read my mind, however, there is something else I will need that space for in front of the "tubs". You will notice I have only tacked these in for now. You all should know me by now this may not be permanent I even have the cardboard cut out for the rear part filler

I don't know though the exposed tubs like that give it a muscular look under there. I may make a cover for the rear that's removable and use it to hide electronics or something.

I figured you needed the front section for the turbos. You may be able to make the back pieces subtley removable and be able to hide a few hemi electronic pieces in there between the new piece and the stock piece.
