What have I gotten myself into?

So quick update for those who care. The body is in primer, the firewall has been removed, the trans, driveshaft tunnel are being channeled for clearance (dropping the front end an extra 2") the rear quarter extensions are getting Braized into the body, and I am sticking with my original wheel choice but they are getting painted satin black with Blue chrome lips.

Very interesting. I like the front end - what's it from?
How hard was getting the welds smooth on the drip rail?
I'd like to do some suspension work but seems the parts would get spendy so I think I'll see what I can do with the factory setup.
I'll be following... and may steal an idea or two :)

The Drip rail was a total pita. That grille is off a 1969 Valiant, hood 72 Duster/Scamp, Fenders stock 74 fenders, Filler under grille 72 Duster, no bumper to speak of yet.

Been having some late night discussions with Hemi Denny about going nuts on my front end. Super secret stuff But I will be teasing with a picture later today.

Nice, I just ordered my Hemidenny front end. I would be interested in seeing your soon to not be secret stuff when you post the mods. Are they modifications for personal preference or for betterer performance?

Both actually. I'm taking the Stance is Key to a whole new level and hoping it gives me the ability to really carve some serious corners with some wide meat on the front end. Ad to that a t-6060 trans and a raised tunnel too.

Thats gonna be badass. take lots of pics. I wish I could lower my car that much, but the roads around here will not allow.

It sure is fun working with all you guys. Everytime I think you guys won' t want to stuff anything bigger in the wheelwell.....you surprise me

But your ingenuity amazes me

Yes...but won' t be home for a couple of hours and phone is too small

Ok well that's a 20x10 in the hole. One of my rear wheels. If I go 20x8 with a 5.5 backspace it looks like we may be golden with stock rails.

Damn I thought I was low, I considered going the "bag" route.... Did you have to raise your inner fenders or are your tires a low enough profile to make all thre parts play well togther ? Awesome work, it's nice to see other creative builds.

Nope inner fenders are getting "relocated" so to speak. I will basically run straight across from the fender mount location and let's say get creative with my exhaust since I'll be running turbo's. I will say this I will not be driving it at this height but my goal is to have my rear rails lay on the axle housing and my subframe connectors rest on the ground when the air is let out of the bags

I grab a good deal of my inspiration from the Ring Brothers cars and Rad Rides too. Just don't have that kinda budget so I'm doing it on my terms.

I look at Lateral-G alot there are some awesome builds and mind blowing metal work...Ring Brothers are on there with there builds, very few Mopars there but great for ideas and inspiration. Thats why after almost 2 years I still am making mods.

Same here. It's been the snowball effect since the day I said "let's shave the fender wells and fire wall"

researching tire reveals a 245/30/20 will give me a 25.8 total diameter does that sound workable Denny?

I believe I read that your massaging the inner fenders, in that case you can make it work. :D

I think so...the contact point with Ross's slightly larger diameter wheel/tire combo was the inner fender...not the frame. I wonder about room for airbag vs coilover
It gets awful tight in there

it will be tight to get a shockwave in there. im fitting the up as we speak. if i open the track width it may work. ima try this weekend. i will be running a 245/40-18 in front looks like. and fender mods will need to be done with a 5inch frame to ground clearence.
