My buddy has a very nice 408 and wants more than the air gap will offer.

Any ideas for a good single plane that fits under a stock hood.

Car is a early valent (67 maybe?)

Thank you.

I thoight the victor line were all to tall for a flat hood?

I have a victor with a carb spacer under the flat hood on my 69 Valiant

Me and him already talked about that one.

He may spend the coin if anyone has one, or the old Offy 2x4 will work also.

@cudajames

One of these low sigle planes would really wake up your 408 as well! cheers buddy!

On the efi. You couldn't pay me to use the bolt on efi systems out there. Every single one I know around here has failed at least once.

I had one new out of the box get a stuck injector and almost wipe out a new engine.
(Sniper unit) That one got fixed and sent back then failed again with a massive fuel leak out of the body. And thats just the story of one unit that i personally had in my shop.

LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD SUCCESS W/ AFTERMARKET e f i , I for one , been on for about 8 yrs , so far so good /fingurs crossed ! =FAST 2.0

I've seen good & bad results from aftermarket EFI systems. I'm not knocking any of them but I'll stick with my naturally aspirated cars. LOL I don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere when the EFI system goes South.

I had a fitech dual 4 system on that cross ram for a few years, but I switched it to a pair of quick fuel carbs, and after seeing how it ran with the carbs, promptly sold all the EFI stuff. I will likely never have to walk home with a carburetor!

Weiand xcellerator
340 Vic w/drop base air cleaner
Holley strip dominator

In no order.

I have a 67 valiant to know.
