I dice them off almost flush with the firewall. Those things are sharp.I have 2 firewalls here, the heat only has the hole on the protrusion.
The ac/heat does not have the hole.

They must have made them that sharp for a reason. Maybe to pierce the insulation without needing a pre formed hole. Ya, ouch!!!Ha Ha. Did you guys find that out the same way I did????
