what is this part???

on my 1971 demon non rally dash when you look at the circuit board on the back of the cluster there is the 3 prong solid state, and pluged into the second prong looks like a condenser or some type of rfi surpresor. what is your opinions of what it is

This device you are referring to is cylindrical?

Yes radio supression. The original guage regulator works like a signal flasher, on/ off, and so would "pop" in the radio

There were at least three radio caps in the cars. This one, one in the alternator, and the one on the positive side of the coil
