I have a 76' dart /6 that I'm putting a 69 340 in ...I had a junk 67' dart that had a 318 in it I was going to use the k frame with the front disks for the swap.
So here's my situation .... I was degreasing the k member and wire brushing it down and low an behold it's not a factory k ...someone welded spool mounts on the k and a few welds look like bird **** ....now I'm not sure I even want t use it as I'm not trusting it..... Thinking of just going with conversion mounts and using my 76' /6 k frame.. Is there any advantage to using my 76' k over the other? If I go the conversion route what will I need to change besides the mounts...I know about the radiator, rear, brakes and such but what about the steering linkage? ...thanks

The '67 k member has the one-year-only single mount idler arm which are getting pretty expensive and harder to find. My opinion would be to leave your current K member in place and use the conversion mounts from Schumacher.
