What killed my bunny ? (Graphic content warning)

Coyote is my bet, a dog would more likely eat the whole thing, unless interrupted or chased off. I had a malamute mix years ago that was quick enough and smart enough to catch rabbits. She would eat the entire thing when she caught one. She and my other dog even chased off a hawk from a fresh kill and ate it.

satanic ritual perhaps?
Well, when my neighbour's moved in they did have Illinois plates on thier cars, and I have seem them fly everything from a Canadian flag to whatever the sodomite perversion flavor of the week flag is, BUT, those people live on the north of me, the bunny was found on the south side of the property

Predatory birds usually EAT their prey. Coyotes are well known to just kill and leave it layin. So I'd sure be on the lookout. A pack of them bastards ain't somethin to play around with. That's why every time we go outside I have a firearm. You just never know.

My mom had 2 mouser farm cats. Jack and Jill...no one could get near them and they were killers. I found Jack next to the railroad tracks one morning and he looked just like your bunny. I don't think he had his ear to the train tracks to see how far the train was away and the coyote tracks were all around the remains of his headless body.

If im wearing pants, im packing

I did not see any tracks near the body
About 2 hours after i found it, it started snowing
That would have been helpful, but oh well

Me and you both, bud. That's something I don't play around with.

My guess is domestic dog . Wild animals are generally hungry and would eat at least part of the body . Domestic dogs will grab their prey by the neck and shake the **** out of it . Throw your dog a stuffed animal and watch what happens …lol

Urgh!!!!! And closed down dirt biking trails / public access to hunting . I love our public lands ! Its why I live in Idaho .
Can people still play in the desert in the South and the foothills on the North end?
When I lived there in the mid to late 70's we could play at both places, ride, shoot, four wheel and whatever.

All but a few of our dirtbike trails in the North End have been designated mtn bike and hiking trails . And even on trail 4 dirtbikes get glares and snide remarks . To which I respond… “ do you know who created and maintained these trails before mtn bikes ? “. Lol
South Desert has a MX track now and the Owyhees are still open to riding . Although I only ride that in the winter .

Since nobody else mentioned it....I'm guessing that since the Southern border is still open until 1-20-25, that it was a Chupacabra!
Cant be, we live in a white neighborhood
Except for my wife, and i guess my kids
