What makes Mopar stand out..?
For me, it's a combination of two things -
Performance items and, for lack of a better word:
"Quirkyness"
Performance items such as the HEMI engines with their funky manifolds, the bulletproof 727 Torqueflights and 8 3/4 & Dana rear ends, and of course the unrivaled, outstanding all-time classic body designs of the '67 Cudas, the '68 Chargers and the early 1970s Challies & Cudas..
And the "quirky stuff" is like the whole Road Runner motif, the Super Birds, the Six-Pack and HEMI hood-Scoops, the Pistol-Grip Shifters and those Strobe side-stripes, Day-Glo colors and huge bilboard callouts on the rear quarters... Items that the corporate stuffed suits at GM or Ford would never attempt...
(Corvettes, Hurst Olds and Shelby being some noteable exceptions)
That's what makes MOPAR stand out for me..
An "In-Your-Face" combination of Form and Fuction far above the commonly accepted "norm" at the time..
Just my opinion...
