what parking brake cable for 11in drums

i just finished rebuilding one of the 11 x 2in drums from a polara i have and noticed the parking brake cable housing is longer then my a-body cables' housings but the cables are the same length. I cant adjust the equalizer enough to compensate for the three-ish inch difference in the housing. Im wondering if an a-body 10in drum parking brake cables will work or what i should do if it wont.
