I'm running comp 901-16 springs (actually the enginetech knockoffs).

Not trying to spend a lot of money, and the parts need to be in stock. Stock 360 heads, stock valves, with some comp 7deg valve locks o had laying around from an old build

I tried looking on rock auto but kinda having a hard time there.

Look up what retainers are recommended for the comp springs, check the inner/outer diameters of the 901’s and your Enginetechs and source retainers that cross-reference of your looking for all options. You have to do some sleuthing at the minimum if you don’t have a dial caliper to check everything yourself. Definitely don’t use the oem stock retainers, they are too loose a fit for those springs.

What comes with those springs if you buy the kit.

The Enginetech ERV901 is dimensionally the same as a factory 340 spring.
1.080” ID, which is also the same as a factory BB HP spring.

Thanks guys.

I found some comp retainers for a good price on Amazon.

If I had the stock ones on hand I'd have used them.

I used my stock retainers without issue. 65'
I also use my stock retainers with my 901's springs in my 340 and I am running a Mopar 509 Purple Cam as well... No issues.. Retainers fit nice and snug when installing them.
