I am looking to buy a set of the tall chrome acorn nuts for my Scamp for the ralley rimswith 5x4 pattern, Coker has 7/16 and 1/2 listed. But it takes a 3/4 socket to remove the factory nuts. Do i need the 7/16 lug nuts? I cant slide a 7/16 socket over the studs, and a 1/2 is bigger than the stud.

The wheel stud diameter should measure 7/16. Use a tape measure to double check. Socket size to remove the lug nuts is a different animal. Usually 3/4 or 13/16.

Also, make sure all wheel studs are right hand thread. Mopar used left hand thread on the driver side lugs for many of the early a-bodies.

Thanks guys, yes drum brakes, they are rt hand threads, i got tired of tire shop kids stripping my lugs on my mopars, "sumthing is wrong with your lugs, they wont come off, i tried a chisel, and they still wont turn" "Um yeah, its a chrysler, get a old guy to take the rest of them off", so i always replace them now with rt handers, never has a A body before though, didnt know if they were the same.
