3400# A body with 511, 10" Wilwood discs on front and 11" Dana drums on rear. Whats needed for bore size on the master cylinder?
Seems a large brake drum for that size car. Aussie A bodies had 9" drums, & 62-64 B bodies had 10" drums.
Ok, I'm looking to up date my current master cylinder with 1 1/8 bore to a wilwood MC.
US A-bodies had 9” drums too, and they were then, and are still, pathetic.
Better braking is never a bad thing.
For the OP, I run 15/16” master cylinders on all my manual disk cars. Best of both worlds. Good feel and brake modulation without too hard of a pedal or too long of a pedal stroke.

Thanks guys and i will give Wilwood a call to get their opinion as well.I liked that 1 1/8 bore MC, on my factory disc E body but, as everyone has said, it was a little numb at the brake pedal. You could stomp on it and it would stop, without any fuss but, if I were gonna do any street driving smaller may have been better and that’s what is on my current toy. Now to be fair, I never played with pedal throw because, the leverage ratio can be used to correct some of the ills.
You won't like it. 1" or smaller is better.Ok, I'm looking to up date my current master cylinder with 1 1/8 bore to a wilwood MC.
No, but thanks. Wilwood said if primarily racing a 1" bore is what you want and a 15/16 if mostly street. I'm street/strip and found a buy on the 15/16. I think it will be fine.
