what size slick?

im looking into buying some slicks, i have a 4 speed and 3.55's should i go with the 26x9-15 or like a 28x9-15 i think the taller tire with my gear will hurt. whats your opinion?
 
I agree with only a 3.55 gear use a 26" tire. If you run the 28" I bet you don't even get to 4th gear at the end of the 1/4.

i agree 26x9

i was running 3:91 gears and a 26" tire and it would go through the traps at like 5900 rpm
 
I know this is an old post, but can you get a 9" slick under a early Valiant? That has not been tubbed.
 
Its got 26x9 Hoosier QTP's

We have Dyno tuned it to 369hp and 343tq

Best ET is 12.06 at 108 or 110 if I remember correctly.

Considering you are trapping about 5000 now. 28's will only slow you down both in hurting your 60' time and taking you out of the powerband on the top end.
