I accuqired a 1971 Dodge Dart with 63,000 miles from my neighbor a few years ago. 225 slant six auto non-running. All i had to do was tow to my house and it was mine. He didnt want his wife getting it in the divorce! The body is in great shape with only a few small dents and minor rust along the wheel wells. Floor pans, trunk pan, and engine bay are rust free. He was going to build it into a drag car one day i think. He left the 8 3/4 third member in the trunk and i have never "reminded" him of it lol. I bought from one of my other neighbors an old motor home with a 413 max wedge thinking i might swap it in. Bought it for $100!!! I love my neighbors! I havent touched the car since i brought it home. It stills has the made in canada stickers on the door. So my question is what should i do with it? Ive never built a drag car or anything close to it. Should i continue with the RB engine swap or will it be hard to do that? i know i will need a new k-member and other things but how hard will it be to swap everything?

A BB swap is not to hard to do. Go to www.engine-swaps.com for the motor mounts. You just need to think of what kind of car you want then go from there. The ski is the limit realy. What do you want?

I wouldnt mind building it into a weekend drag car. Not worried about paint or anything like that. i just want to build it to go fast at the strip. maybe start around 400-450hp engine. just something i can wrench on afterwork and on weekends.
