What to do with extra hole in sending unit?

I noticed today after installing my gas tank, that the sending unit has the fuel line AND and another outlet which appears to be another vent. The Tank itself does have another outlet that goes to the charcoal canister.

What do you recommend I do with the other outlet on the sending unit?? Just cap it?

Is that suppose to be the same outlet that goes the the charcoal canister if there wouldn't be one on the tank?

What should I cap it with? Wont the gas eat away at it after awhile?

there are lots of modern materials impervious to fuel.
If I was needing to use wfat I have on hand... 4 inches fuel hose , 1 bolt to plug hose and 2 clamps.
