What to seal roof rail weatherstrip channels to roof with.

I removed the stainless u channel that holds the roof rail weatherstrip in place on my 67 notch for a full rotisserie redo. The U channel had some thin foam strip glued to it, between it, and the steel roof rail as a gasket of sorts. Anybody here find a substitute foam strip to use in place of whats there, or use something else. I dont want to glue it in place with silicone if i ever have to take it apart again.

I 'd sell you the ones I got in my set from DMT, but I used a couple feet off the roll for other stuff. My rails were on so solid I decided not to mess with them. Do you have the rest of the body gaskets. If not, they have full 'paint sets' with everything

His big kits are very complete. Mine for the Duster had more extra than missing cause he covers different possible where stuff changed year to year. My kit only missed the seals for the light sockets in the grille and the trunk lock. Which James quickly sent me no charge after I asked him at Carlisle...
