Been there, done that, screwed up the manifold!
I dropped a 2001 Dodge Ram 5.2 Magnum in my 68 B.cuda. The pass. side works fine, except you have to remove the studs and drop the manifold straight down and bolt it on. The 90* oil filter adapter has to come off. The driver's side is a different story. The manifold hits the steering column where the nylon bushing is located on manual steering. I removed the steering colum and shortened 2 1/4". Fixed that. The manifold rested on the steering box and the swivel at the bottom of the shaft almost hit the manifold. I ground a little off of the manifold at the steer box. Made the interference with the swivel worse! Knocked off the retainer on the swivel seal. PITA to reinstall! Ground a little more from the manifold. UH OH! Hole in the manifold! I put the original 68 manifolds on. PM me if you want pictures. You may be able to shim the motor mounts 1/4 to 1/2" to gain clearance. If that causes other problems, guys, chime in!
