Hey folks any thoughts or ideas on what years of cars I could use to install a front disc break set up on a 4 dr valiant.Going to be putting a 360 in her.
Any and all info would be appreciated.

The front disc upgrade most including myself do on 1972 and older A bodies is the 1973+ A body disc brakes which requires the 1973+ front spindles and upper A arms for the matching larger upper ball joint. I used 1973 Duster parts on a 1972 Duster, so hopefully others will chime in with 1961 compatiblity.

the front suspension was different in 60 & 61 and in 62 changed to what is common to our cars.

i'm not sure on the compatibility of the (mainly) lower arms to ball joint & spindle, the uppers look like they'll work. it's probably just figuring out what the ball joint is or the taper is and then seeing what knuckle will work and still perform correctly. so the likely hood of an all factory upgrade is likely fairly small.

however, a disc upgrade using bearing adapter sleeves for the spindle and a plate that mounts the caliper to the knuckle would be fairly straight forward.
