Sorry. But we are practicing Anti-social Mega-distancing. Dry camp this morning @ 8:00 AM.

Bummer on both accounts.

it's actually kind of working out for me as well as I don't have the cash. I mean if I have to get them out I can it's not the end of the world but I like to do it as I go along. One good thing is the machine shop is taking a long time because they're so busy because everybody wants them to do their stuff cuz they're that good... I don't mind waiting an extra 15 minutes for my cheeseburger at a restaurant as long as when I get it it's great.. same analogy for them...

Any time spent out there in a pup tent is good.

Call me Ishmael and lets walk to the sea.

:)

it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can.

I think i should put that in context.

Take it easy man. Just enjoy your time out side.

That looks cold and quiet....Brrr! :elmer:
A week ago I was in the canyon off to the left.........Zero degrees those two mornings.

30 degrees yesterday morning in the saddle @ 7,300' elevation.

Closest spring for water is 1 hour 15 minutes down on the right and 1 hour 30 minutes back to the tent. Good view of the antelope, deer and elk up here though.

wow my wife just makes me sleep on the couch
No wife, not even a dog. However when I'm alone like this my son tracks his 72 year old dad on GPS. I even have a "DEAR GOD HELP" button should I need it.

You must have one hellova setup to be playing on the internet from that beautiful secluded spot.
Whatcha doing up there ?
Hiked the 5 hours out yesterday. It is supposed to snow today and I'm not a fan of being in that little tent in a snow storm. Weather clears I'll be in another spot.

This was exploring an area I'd never quite been to. I generally go farther up through the left and skip through here.

Not even a dog? Ouch.
Great pic though; I like the solitude and the scenery.

Nice. Did you relieve the cast iron behind the guide so it doesn't deflect toward the camera?

Not on this head as its just for testing purposes. You can see the how the the guide being slightly cocked has influenced the de-shrouding cut of the valve job as it didn't quite fully clean up on the long side. On the actual heads I run a cartridge roll down the that side of the inside of the valve guide hole to help relieve the uneven pressure on the guide.
