whats a good set of heads

Magnum engines are fairly cheap in the junkyards. If you go for a 318, you can get an even better deal as they are often overlooked.
 
im sure they are cause alot of people want the la blocks. and ive heard of the magnum head conversion but how does that work
 
the reason why is cause i already have the 318 torn down and its just waiting for me get money and sent to the machine shop to get checked cleaned and machined if needed
 
There are several articles out there on the conversion. I forgot about the roller cam which would add greatly to the price. You would have to buy aftermarket oil-through roller lifters to feed oil to the magnum heads.
It really all depends on your budget. But, it would be cheaper to buy a complete magnum than convert your engine.
 
i thought the bolt pattern was different from the la and the magnum blocks and i wouldnt mind putting roller rockers on these head but i know that they are a bit expensive
