This is NOT a for sale ad....
I'm just looking to get an idea of the value of these parts
My latest dart is a factory AC car. I like to keep things simple so I'm converting it to heater only car.
I'm not sure I will sell the AC components or just store them but I was wondering what the parts are worth.
The under the dash air diffusers are complete unbroken and fully functional. Some pitting in the chrome.
The AC part is complete and appears undamaged. The evaporator has been open to the atmosphere for decades. I don't know if the vacuum diaphrams work but the doors all moved mostly freely. I don't know how much resistance I should feel against the vacuum diaphrams.
The heater portion is the same.
The controls came out easy, I cut the vacuum lines rather then pulling them off to protect the control valve. Unknown functionality.
The dash bezel is intact, the two screws from the back broke the posts off when unscrewing the screws and the two blade shaped posts on it near the glove box were already broken off but the retainers and the blades were in the dash area. The face of the bezel is physically good but the chrome and white paint is gone from decades in the elements.
There are some under hood components I think the dryer is there but again exposed to the elements
The condenser is there but looks like it got walked on.
If I have time Friday I'll get some photos and test the vacuum diaphragms
Thanks all and I'm looking forward to your thoughts.
BTW I am aware that a factory AC 67 Dart Convertible is a rare bird. I am not going to modify the firewall, I'm just going to make a cover plates for the heater motor hole and use body plugs for the rest.
Oh and I'm converting it to manual steering too!
