Hey guy's some of you know I had my Valiant race car listed for sale a while back. Well I went ahead and did all the body work and painted it. I still need to put the trim back on but here are a few pics. Any how it is a 340 car with spray and runs 10.30s. My question is what sould I ask for it now ? I really appreciate any honest opinions. Nice looking car but the value of it is hidden in the details like interior, underhood, and the trunk. Post some more pictures for honest numbers.
It's a race car. under the hood is basic to say the least. It does have some carpet inside but just one seat and gauges. The trunk is filled with 2 batteries, fuel cell and a NOS bottle. The shadows on the car don't really show how straight it really is.

Car looks terrific in the picture and straight. Things I think hurt a cars value race or not is
Non body color engine compartment
Cut out inner fenders
messy wires, hoses, ect
Stripped out interior, original dash and/or gauges missing
cheap plastic race seats, missing trim
Non body color trunk cut out spare tire well
All the above IMO will make a car worth much less money even if its a race car.
I bought a Demon with many of the items listed above for $11,000. About Eight years ago on ebay. Bad buy on my part but it was turn key fun when I didn't have any other running cars for drag racing. Today I believe that Demon would not sell for even half of what I paid for it and it is a real 340 car with build sheet and all, although with non matching numbers 340 engine.
I would say about $5000.00 +/- on your car

Thanks for the opinion and complement. I sure hope I can get a lot more for it than that. But I appreciate your honesty.
