I have a 1975 dodge dart special edition hp coupe , was thinking of restoring it . I cant find out much about it other than about 3500 made . please help

x2 No one likes them years .. But when done right there bad *** looking sorry tho cant tell you much more with out a fender tag or vin number .

come on now, thats a bold statement to make for the rest of the world

Like anything else beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's only worth what someone will pay. I worked at the dealership when the 73's came out we all said, "What the hell were they thinking" ? Then when the 75 Charger came out it was "They ruined another one". A few months later I bought one. A old man that lives up the street has a 74 Dart that has been in the garage for years.Wouldn't sell because it's his wifes, she died a few months ago and he has 1 foot in the grave,Still won't sell. It's killing me knowing that it's there.I want it bad. As for your question, if you need parts you will have to find used as not much is repoped for that year. Some earlier years parts will interchange but they made slight differences in the doors, fenders, etc. No matter, it's your car ,only you can decide if you want to put money into it.

It's a 75 Dart. Do it for the love, there is no money for it.
back when i could find those for $200 - $300 and 340' cars were less than a grand i would have said the same thing. now an otherwise clean 75' is worth $2000 or $3000 with the quarters rusted out

:wack:

This might be bold as well but the "bird beak" front end is less desirable than any front end on any A-body. That's the truth if you like it or not.

I know what a Dart SE is, but what's an "hp coupe"?

I'm a big fan of your car's cousin, the Valliant Brougham.
If I ever find a 2 door in burgandy, I'm buyin' it.

The beak front end is my favorite ! I love 73-74-75 Dart Sports

thats not the truth, you would be wrong, just beacuse you dont like them dosent mean they are less disiarable, I dont understand how statments can be made like that, let me try one, the 318 is the worst small block one could want! its the truth if you like it or not, wow that was fun! disgust

I'd like to hear from the OP with some more info on the car. Options? VIN? Data plate?

Might be a 360 car, maybe even a dual exhaust one. Might be pretty rare.

In my opinion, build what you like, and ignore the people that don't like what you build. If you build it for other everyone else, you will be disappointed, build it for you.

First off, welcome to FABO!
I guess you got a taste of what people's opinions are, and some of them are very biased toward pre '72 non ''beak'' Darts.
I happen to like them though and there are quite a few positives that i can see to them.
Where in Alberta do you live?
I would like to see pics of the car and especially a picture of the fender tag or at least the first 5 digits of the serial number so we can see what you have to work with.
It all depends on what budget you have to work with etc.
If you have any other questions, post them here or feel free to p.m. me.

I like them too! I have a 75 Dart SE, fun car.
I even got a parts car! Hit me up if you need anything!
