Absolutely stunning automobile. There is a restored one, that hits the local summer car show circui.. Same body shop did one of the birdcage Maseratit's,a few years back.

I had many years ago a Mitsubishi Celeste 2000 GSR (aka Plymouth Arrow).

I liked the lines and it was a reliable and quite lively car with the 2 l engine.
The best out of this family was maybe the Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo - a real terror on european rallye courses.

What car had a twin stick? 4 speed and an 2 speed transfer for a total of 8 fwd and 2 rev gears?

A friend of mine had one of those in high school.

That was the Plymouth Champ. my grandfather has one that i need to go get one of these days. he gave it to my dad but he hasn't picked it up yet. not a transfer case as it is fwd only but more like an over/under drive.

My favorite and would love to own one sometime, still prefer mopars but these, damn they can be quick. The Supra

My brother has an '88 7MGTE Supra.
I have my '72 240 and my friend keeps her '77 Celica liftback over here.

There is a red/ white vinyl top RX3 coupe down the street that I would love to build. All original down to the hubcaps. I think I would keep it that way. Not even bridgeport or B swap. I have never seen an RX of any gen with a vinyl top.

My auto shop class had an rx3 donated in 1985.

Had a holley 4 barrel.

Frame was rusted out near front spring mount for rear axle.

We tried nearly every day to rip the rear end out and never could.

I absolutely love those cars...they are pricey, but just amazing. Just hard to find one that is not modded to it's guts lol.

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Just picked up this 1981 Datsun 280ZX for my wife. She wanted to learn how to drive stick. I previously had a 1973 240Z and a 1984 300ZX. These are fun cars.

Indeed, classic angular 1980’s lines. Style compared to the jelly bean look these days.

Isn’t a Datsun 280ZX the same car that started this thread 8 years ago?

Recently finished up a 77 620, converted to 80 280z 5 speed.
Have a 78 620 in the wings.
Want an early celica, 320, 77 200sx
Love old muscle bikes , Toyota 4x4s in addition to old mopars.

I've always liked the looks of the mid-'70's Celicas:

And while it's not "old school", a good friend of mine bought an S2000 about 5 years ago (in this color), and I have to admit it's really fun to drift, er, drive!

I once owned a Honda AN600, a 2-cylinder air cooled 600cc 2 door micro car. Parts were hard to get even in the 70s. Even the tires were hard to get, the only ones I ever found were Firestones.

I think these were called 1200? Anyway this is like a 1970, I think. Mom had one, I learned to drive manual in it.

I like those Celica bodystyles as well, classmate in high school had a 72 or 73. Rust was a big problem with them, but still a good looking car. Friend of mine had an early 80s model, that was a pretty cool car too.
I was tempted to buy a Datsun 200SX that a friend of mine was selling, drove it quite a few times, fun little car.

I loved my little 81 Toyota 4x4. Bought it new, bone stock, radio delete, white steel wheels, then went to town. Had loads of fun with it.

Speaking of Supra's. The family of a buddy of mine owned a Toyota dealership and, of course, he drove what he wanted. One night he and his girlfriend took a brand new 1982 Surpra and I was in the truck above with my girlfriend. We went out to a bar, had lots of fun, and he and his girlfriend got into a fight. He took off in his Surpra. When we left, we took his girlfriend home, I dropped off my girl, then went home. At 3am I get a phone call that he was in an accident. He "drifted" off the side of the road and launched the car over a hill. Killed him. Damn car was fast, for sure...and he wasn't afraid to push it. RIP Denny.

I also owned a right-hand drive 85 Datsun B210. The first car I bought after arriving at RAF Greenham Common in the UK.

I had a Chevy Luv (Isuzu) It was a fun truck. Small enough I could take it out in the woods and ride the bike trails.

I had a '90 Plymouth Lazer Turbo. Put an ECM in it. Fast little car till a deer wiped the front end out.
