Wheel bs & size ?'s

Hi im trying to figure out my wheel & tire sizing which seems to be rocket science. I bought a 15x8 w/ 4 3/4 bs and it was a little close to the leafs but i dont know how much the tires will be sticking out, but they wouldnt work because Ive got wilwoods on it so It looks like im gonna need atleast 16's.
Ive got a 68 cuda, wilwoods, caltracs mono springs and bars no modifications.
Im kinda limited in options on the wheels im looking at 16's can only have a 5" backspacing and 17's are available in 4 1/2" backspacing but I dont know if 17's would be to big and then that limits my tire sizes. any help would be very appriciated!

On my 68 cuda convert I am running:

Front: 17" x 7 Torque Thrust on 5.5" back space. I dont know the tire size offhand but I can look at my car later tonight. It is the stock Mustang 5.0 size and available everywhere cheap.

Rears: CUSTOM Torque Thrust 17 x 8 with a 5" backspace. You need the 5". I paid $459 for 2 custom wheels. American racing makes them special order.
I have to look at my tires as well, I just cant remember here at work what I bought.
