When Cars Ruled the World’s Fair

-
I was there about a half dozen times. Went once with my family, once for a school trip, and a number of times with a group of friends. It was a short (and cheap) train ride from Newark to Flushing Meadows in Queens.

Some pretty fond memories of the time, too.

It was magical!
My five year old mind couldn't comprehend that they would tear such a wonderful place down after two years.

At the time newspapers like the NY Times, were also nearing the end of their peak influence, soon to be upstaged by TV.
But that won't be mentioned by the media.

My Dad took us there when we were kids. I was 10 and my brother was 12. Great memories that's for sure!
