When does money outweigh sentimental value? 1968 notchback build thread

So earlier I said I stripped out the vent window pivot on the driver's side. I just found out why. Here is an original to a repop. Little bit of an offset difference.

I'll just keep the 22" opening then. No need to cut her up if there's not that great of a benefit.

Probably OK. I had my radiator for a few years before I went to paint.
This is what I did in 2005, figured it is easier to show you the "during" modifications because it illustrates the material removed - the tape is there to give me better guide marks for cutting:

In 2014 when we were painting and modifying Sam (fabricator) cleaned up the edges and gave it a rolled lip when he was making the lower radiator support and doing the other work in the area:

Polished run channels today and got them prepped for install. New strip caulk, mounting tape and foam backers. Screws are soaking in evaporust. Should be ready to go tomorrow.

Hit the tamrazs 50% off special. Pretty happy with this one. Saved a boat load of cash.

Also got my screws and whatnot all cleaned up with evaporust. Run channels are ready to go in. Also got a used vent channel coming to replace my rusted one. Hopefully it turns out nice. Then it all going in.

The best part is you already own the car, it is yours to do what you want with, Period.

Side glass installed, vent windows, door glass and quarter glass. Had to make a new vent window bolt and anchor also.

Getting stainless steel cut and polished. Just need to do a final polish on these. Then I can get them installed.

Also picked these out of the junk yard. Still need to drill and install. But I need to borrow a buddies nutsert tool to mount them.

Got my non bent radiator the other day. Opened up the cooler lines from 1/8 npt to 1/4 npt with a .375 i.d. Then I installed some compression fittings for Hardlines. Gotta get it mounted and make SS lines around to the aux cooler.

It's a 26" radiator so I'm still in mock up phase. Debating on cutting the support or just leaving the 22" opening.

Do you have a part number for that radiator? How's it fitting.

Well I did some stuff today! Got the final polishing done on the door trim and rain gutters. So the door glass and trim is all done.

What a giant PITA! If you ever have the opportunity to help do quarter glass in a notchback, don't. Find better friends.

Also, I was a balmy 60* in Colorado today. So i took the opportunity to dye my dash pads. I had my top pad redone by dashpadpros in black and a green lower left and a brown lower right. So black, brown and green.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of Herb's dye! Unbelievable how awesome this stuff is. I'm literally floored and can't recommend it enough.

No doubt. I spent hours on the passenger side rear quarter window. Position and everything is perfect, still binds when I roll it up and down, no different than before I took the car apart. I don't know if there is anything I can do about it. Not sure if something is wrong or if I am doing something wrong. Not looking forward to doing the drivers side.

Did some grille and bezel disassembly. I need to strip the anodizing and have the aluminum straightened. Then I can get everything polished and ready to reassemble.
