New to A-bodies Just bought a 69 Dart Custom as a fixer upper for my nephew who is 16 but need to find a place were I can get some parts. I'm used to jeeps and they have a lot of part companies out there that you can practicly build one from the ground up. Are there Mopar or Dart companies like that or am I stuck looking for junk yards. PLEASE HELP

They are slowing starting to repop some of these parts, but a great place to find good used parts is right here. What kind of parts are you looking for?
Many guys will tell you that original parts fit much better than reproductions. I am in the process of parting out a 68 dart 4 door and have sold some parts. I have seem many guys sell parts on here cheaper than you can buy on ebay or other suppliers.

Thanks right now I'm not sure all I will need but a steering wheel and the side moldings, trunk molding grille and headlight trim. Guy I got it from spray painted all of these parts and threw away the steering wheel. What cars or other year dart parts fit a 69 custom?

Gonna take a lot more leg work then building a jeep that's for sure. Just keep your eyes open on the various mopar boards, eBay, craigslist and swap meets..

Most of your trim parts will come clean with paint thinner or mineral spirits. If ya rub off black, remask and repaint trim.

67 - 69 bout anything. Some hood fenders different above 69 but doors about the same.

67 - 76 windshields same but not the gaskets/trim for them. 4 doors are 2" approx. taller than 2 doors.

You can always post on the parts needed section on here too!:read2:

Can't find an emergency part on short notice? Post a thread and hopefully me or someone will be able to help with parts! (or PM me and I'll check around. Lots of steering wheels available, but most need crack repair with epoxy then paint.

Mopar repop parts are slow to come available and 4 door stuff looking at junk yards/vendors or us FABO members!!!

Oh! Almost forgot,

WELCOME TO FABO!

xvmotorsports.com - lots of stuff from cool pedals to tubular k frames
jimsautoparts.com - tons of stuff (some people dont like them, but i had no problems with them whenever i ordered parts)

Andrew, welcome to the best Mopar site on the net! You'll find just about everything you need right here. Best tech, great prices, wonderful people and good comraderie.

And I know a redhead who can dress up those old used parts you find. ;-) Make yourself at home.
