Hi all,

I have a 67 Dodge Dart GT Conv with 360 / 727...I still have the 7.25" rearend (just about shot) and I am in the market for a 8.25 or 8.75. I need the complete setup. With money being tight, I want to know if there suggestions on where to go for a used or refurbished rear?

Any info would be much appreciated! THANKS.

There are several for sale right here on the forum. I think I saw a complete one for $400. Thats a pretty good deal. Have a look.

Correct. All you gotta do is look up and down this page and find something like you want in your price range.

Also please note there are sections for parts for sale and parts wanted. Your posting a want ad in the for sale section.

There's always some booty standin around downtown. :bootysha:

sorry, couldn't help myself.

LOL Stroker! :)

Thanks Fishy...I reposted it under the Parts Wanted section. Since I will not be installing the rear-end myself- I wonder how much a garage will charge for dropping in a rear-end???

As long as it doesn't need any work and is the correct rear for your car it's about a 2 to 2-1/2 hr. job to install it and bleed the brakes. The driveshaft will also have to be changed as they are a different length for different rearends. Figure that in the purchase price. It has to be disconnected when changing the rear so the labor should be the same. Labor rates vary a lot accross the country so check out your locals and you can figure it from there.
