which 70 series 15 inch tire will fit

-
215 'by the book' , maybe fit one bigger (225) on the wheel. Don't know what fits the space and clears for steering though.

A 215/70/15 will be 26.9" tall. It might fit on that rim, but it's not gonna clear the front corner of the fender when turning. 26" is pretty much the tallest tire that fits on the front unless it's super skinny and way inboard or the ride height is really high (higher than stock even).

If sidewall is what you want, remember that not all 70 series tires are the same height. The series just expresses the height of the tire as a percentage of the width. So, a 215/70/15 work out like 215mm x .7 = 150.5mm = 5.93". Overall tire height is then 5.93x2= 11.85 + 15" for the diameter of the rim, so, 26.9" tall. What that means is a wider tire with a lower series can be the same height as a narrower tire with a higher series.

You'd be better off with a 205/70/15 would be 26.3" tall, but that might not work on all cars. You'd be better off with a 205/65/15.
