Just thought you all may like to see what can be done with a twin screw supercharger. Sure this is a chevy but the same can be applied to a Mopar. Some thing like a stroked 3G Hemi comes to mind.

This is my Dads motor he is putting in a sand car. Don't have the specs for it, still need to get them from him. I do know it is a 4.0 whipple charger on a C5R block with ported aftermarket LS7 style heads. Looking at around 1000HP with this set up.

Working on the pullys now. Then we got to rework the car a bit to fit it and all the coolers and extra stuff in there.

Kenne Bell made 765 with a bone stock 6.1 hemi.

Oh, and that was at the tires!

Oh, and it was an automatic.

Yep, works pretty good. It's amazing the power levels that are acheivable today. Just did a 66 Chevelle with an LS7 and a Magnuson intercooled supercharger and a 65 GTO with a Mast built 454 LSX and a Magnuson intercooled setup. Phenomonal beasts that are very drivable. (and my pics are still not uploading).

Ya it is amazing what you can do with a little boost. Don't know what she will do at the tires. This is going in to a buggy with a transaxle. They eat up the power through them bad. Some thing like 30+%. Still should rip good in a car that is only 3000LB. Bit of a tank for a sand car but it is a prerunner and they tend to be a little heavier.

Still working on it. Gathering parts and mocking it up. Worked on the crank trigger bracket last night.

Had to make a new plate to hold the blower pulleys. Trying to get them to clear every thing. Also going as big as we can with all the pulleys. Been having trouble with them spinning to fast and frying the bearings out of them. No fun being out in the dunes and having a pulley come apart and the belt fly off. Still waiting on a few parts.

Also got a new set of valve covers. Needed a new set to clear the rockers.

Ya they do have kits that make it easier. This is going in a buggy so we are having to peice some stuff together.

This would be a trick set up on a 3G Hemi. Or even a SB or BB Mopar.

pretty cool. i bet cheaper to build than a mopar 6.1...

I look when I am out there but have never seen a Mopar in a sand car out in Glamis. I want to get a rail one day. Be nice if it had a Mopar in it but I will be buying used so don't think there is much chance of that.

Been waiting to see a 3G in one but have not yet. Did see a set of Hemi heads at the Sand Sports Show and got my hopes all up only to find out that they were for a Chevy LS motor:cwm10:
