I just realized I'm getting my Dana 60 back to install this weekend and I have no axle housing studs. These are the ones that hold the backing plates on. Any ideas who makes these? Thanks.

Most fastener suppliers should be able to get those for you, same idea as a wheel stud, just a different size.
Places likes Fastenal, Brafasco, Spaenaur, Carquest, NAPA, maybe even Canadian Tire...or an automotive machine shop, generally carry a good supply of all kinds of fasteners.

Good luck.

Thanks. I think they have a flat on one side to prevent rotation which makes them special. I notice that some places (not local) have tee bolts which service the same purpose. Again they are specialty items. I'm hoping somebody carries them.

I found Ford part number EOTZ-3C140-A works on a 8 3/4 rear. I bought so a couple of years, ago, but I think these are discontinued, also.

Might check with a Chrysler parts department.

They tell me they are discontinued although I don't think they looked too hard. Somebody told me to cut down some Grade 8 fine thread bolts and grind a flat on them which I might have to do.

Might check with some of the places that advertise in 4wd magazines. The Dana 60 is popular. The parts should be available somewhere.

I know what you mean about the parts department people not looking very hard. I needed a special O ring for the speedometer drive & they told me I would have to buy the entire drive. O ring wasn't available seperately. I found a part number later & it was still available. They should be able to find this stuff. It's their job.

Parts at a Chryco dealership. That's rich. After replacing the motor in my Caravan, I didn't have time to finish bolting the cowl in. Needless to say, the Monday following, we have the worst rainstorm of the summer, and I am outside at work getting it together so I can drive home. Last item needed? The wiper nuts. And I cant find them anywhere. I call the nearest Chryco dealer and they tell me, No, not in stock. No, none in city. Two weeks to order and $8 each. So I drive to the nearest Crappy tire, plunk down .65 and screw the exact same nuts on. LOL

They were discontinued, by Chrysler, some time ago. However, I did some checking, and they are available from Moser Engineering ( http://www.moserengineering.com ) as part number 838TK.

Thanks. It looks like they use a tee bolt. Perhaps I can source them locally although I don't know how common those are. The Moser stuff will take forever to get. I see Dr. Diff has the proper bolts but it'll take a couple of weeks to get them from him too. Perhaps I'll just use std UNF bolts and grind a flat on them and tack them in place.

Couldn't find anybody who made or sold these except Mancini and Dr. Diff. I guess there is no other applications for this part. It would have cost more than $50 and taken 2 weeks to get them. A friend pulled some out of an 8 3/4 he was taking apart.
