Yes, I read about that in other threads. But I'm not doing it on this engine. Thanks for the suggestion though.

That thread pretty much covers it, kinda for hi/Po engines, hi rpm, hi spring rates.
It's a good read, especially for race engines.

It must have worked. I drilled the cam plate and then a tiny hole in the oil galley plug. I'm sure the chain is getting plenty of lube.
