Somebody must have installed your distributor/oil pump drive shaft off by a few teeth. Either that or you might need to move each of the wires over one position on your distributor cap.
under your distributor there is a shaft with a gear ....it engages the oil pump and has a gear that engages the camshaft...
on top it has a slot on top that the distributor drops into...
with a larger screw driver you can turn the intermediate shaft clock wise and it will move up the cam gear...then you can move it to where you want to be........
so the distributor will clear the intake
......Hey Stroker as to advance u have to move the dist anti ......I would think he would have to move the wires clockwise..........then push back the dist some to get the correct timing.......kim.........
