Really....I can't believe you didn't know any of that! HAHAHAHAHA.........Yup, another one just showed you how stupid they look! Pretty funny really.

MotorParts ... not an "aftermarket" supplier , per se ; it's the parts operation of DdCP ( Dodge / deSoto / Chrysler / Plymouth ) .

Either way , the guy's an asshat .

btw , 140 MPH speedo = police package setup . A "regular" LX would've had an 85 MPH speedo .:thumblef:

Not true. Lot's of Lx's cars and GT's came with a 140 mph speedo. 87-88 5.0's had the 85mph speedo, in 88 from October to the end of 89 the 140 mph speedo was used. A "Special Service" vehicle had a special speedo that was marked "Certified Calibration" and was a 160mph speedo.

You could even get the 140 speedo from 85-88 but was clearly marked "Motorsport"

I stand corrected . Thanks for the specific info :thumblef: .

It's ostensibly been a number of years since I've paid close attention to Mustangs .
I knew about the Certified Calibration deal , but I didn't realise that it went to 160 MPH (!) .

Not to rail road here ...
There used to be a hatchback '82 Mustang "Special Service" ex-CHP unit in the town where I grew up .
I though that the hatchback body style was odd , even back in '86 . From what I understand , there were but a tiny handful of the H.B. bodies made for CHP use ; something like 5 - 10 being made . It was owned by a college kid ; I haven't seen the car in over 20 years .

meh, so he's a bit ignorant and pretending hes not.
No one around here like that
:-\"

sometimes you fake it till you make it, and learn from your mistakes....

That sounds cool, there were actually a lot of weird options on some cars, the interior in my car for sale is so rare it's not even funny. When I replaced the carpet in it I found the special order tag, never seen another one in person.

Let them know that if you put Mopar, Ford, Chevy, GM, Truck, Car, Sex, ect.......basically any searchable word in your ad that your ad will be seen by many more people when they are doing specific keyword searches. To me posting an ad on craigslist with as much searchable words would be better for business.
