will wix 51515 physically fit?

I'm picking up an 02 ram 2500 2wd with a 5.9L Magnum engine, auto trans, and AC. I bought it on an auction. The oil is pretty dirty looking, so I wanted to change the oil and the oil filter, before I drive it 50 miles home. According to the Internet, it is supposed to take a wix 51085 filter, but I'd like to install a (larger)51515. Does anyone know if the larger filter will physically fit in the oem confines, with the stock exhaust, etc?

I have no issues running the tall filters in my 97 Ram 1500.

Always ran the larger on my 2005, 5.7 with no problems. My '10, Ma changed the threads and I can't.

have you looked it up on OilFilterData.com? you put in the std filter and it will give you the comparable filters, AND the oversized and undersized "equivalents". It will show the top 10, but If you don't see what you like you just click on a link and it will give you the rest. It will give you most of the specs, too, so you can really pick and choose.
