Wilwood "Drag" REAR Drum to Disc conversion kit

-
I believe they are also classified that way because there is no parking brake.

Also, most Wilwoods don't have dust seals...Not really designed for someone that wants to run them for 30,000 miles on the street without at least clearing the dust off them when they push pistons back in to change pads.

I run the Wilwood 140-7144 with the solid rotors. They work great for the track and on the street. And they do not have dust covers.

You had it correct...the rotors will not last on the street. Wilwood makes the same kit with solid rotors, similar to a factory style rotor. I use them on any car that will see street time.

Sorry to steal your post. I wanted to go wilwood discs all around on my 69 swinger and wanted to know which master cylinder and which proportioning valve to use. On summit they dont offer a power set-up. I would call wilwood and quit being lazy, but being deployed in afghanistan makes it difficult, and I would like the parts waiting for me. Another question, is it worth it to make it power brakes? I intend to make it a cruiser and is currently in full resto-mode, sitting on blocks after full media blast/primer/undercoat.

Not very helpful - but I'd guss the power brake thing would come down to A body, B or C? Big Block or Small Block.

Anyhow mate................Keep your head down, eyes open and your nose twitching. ;)

Sorry I guess more info would help. its an a-body. 69 dart. with a 225 slant 6. I want it to drive as safe and reliable as possible. my 67 dart had no power steering and no power brakes. this one has factory power steering so i thought an upgrade to power brakes was in order. any setups for full power steering in that 1400 range. full kit ready to install preferred!

Sorry I think I wasn't clear - when I said "not very helpful", I meant my advice..not your post :eek:ops:

FWIW I don't think you need power brakes.........whether you want them is a different issue....
